Aurvi and Monesh, Tivoli Gardens, Delhi

Tivoli Gardens in Delhi made for the perfect setting for Aurvi and Monesh’s wedding photo’s and outdoor Genda Phool Wedding. Genda Phool aka marigold from what I have been told is very significant flower for weddings in India,  in every leaf of ‘gendha phool’ is a complete flower in itself. While every leaf/petal of the ‘gendha’ is a flower in itself, a gendha is complete, beautiful and can live only when all petals are together.

Congratulations Aurvi and Monesh; I wish you many years of happiness, and may you flourish together as beautifully as a Genda Phool!

You said it right about the Marigold flowers, Andrew. I love how the outdoor setting is decked with them. I especially love them hanging from the tree. Very pretty. Again, so much color, so much beauty and so much life in all your photographs! I couldn’t help but laugh on seeing your 7th photo :) The guy in the background looking at the prettiness in front of him just about made my day!
I have personally never really liked purple/violet shades on lehengas, but look at how the bride carries it off. It suits her very well and brings out that bridal glow in her.So now my opinion is officially changed about this shade! The wrinkled hands holding the chants; very emotional. And of course, Andrew, your image no: 44 is by far my favorite couple portrait on this site. The couple look so good together. All the best to you guys! And to you too, Andrew. You truly outdo yourself on each wedding!

@ Andrew: Thanks for the lovely lead-in Andrew, and the gorgeous, gorgeous pictures :-D

@ Leya: Thanks so much for the kind words and all the good wishes. Really appreciate it :) (ps: Many people were skeptical about the purple + red combination of my lehenga until I wore it, so thanks for the vote of confidence!)
