A Gujarati Wedding in Ahmedabad

Medha and Palak live in the US, with many of their friends and family spread all over the world.  But with most of their family in Gujarat, India it seemed only natural to have the wedding in Ahmedabad.

The first evening was the Henna. I have never seen such beautiful, intricate Henna like Medha had.  The second night was the Garba, A Gujarati tradional Stick dance!  Everyone got up and joined in the fun!

The final day, consisted of a morning Puja ceremony, followed by the Baraat.  Palak’s procession on an Elephant! Colorful, and LOUD!  Then it was into the Grand Baghwati ballroom for the evening Hindu Ceremony.

What a Joyous event to photograph. Filled with some beautiful details, intense colors and warm heartfelt emotions.  I loved every moment!  Medha and Palak, and their families were so kind and I really felt like a welcomed guest, and not just the hired photographer!

Congratulations Medha and Palak!
