A Palace Wedding in Jaipur, Rajasthan – The finale!

A Palace wedding at City Palace in Jaipur, Rajasthan is something I’ve always dreamt about shooting. This wedding I have to say lived up to all my expectations and more. In my last post I showcased the first day at Jai Mahal Palace, featuring the morning Mehndi function and evening Sangeet.  Today I have the main event!  The wedding day, at City Palace. The brilliant colors, elaborate decor,  theatrical like Baraat was so over the top. But done in a beautiful, elegant way.  A massive red carpet leading from the main palace entrance to wedding, lined with approximately 100 flag bearers all dressed in red uniforms,  a huge marching band with Parasols, and electric Chandaliers on their heads, really stunning!  A beautiful, Hindu ceremony followed by dinner.  The next night was the final event, Reception and Dinner at Castle Kanota.   All in all a wedding to remember!  And a very special thanks to my friend and very talented photographer Sephi from Fotowala for having me there to help out, I had a blast!

The photos here are really colourful Andrew & I love it! Pretty elephants too to grace the event. That photo of the hubby marking the forehead of his wife really is the best one for me. Perfect! :)
