The first event was a Black Tie Gala, at the Uber Chic Aer Bar on the rooftop of The Four Seasons Hotel Mumbai.  What a stunning aray of beautifully dressed Men and Women.

The next day things got started a bit late, as I heard the party went on till the wee hours of the morning! The second day was Parvati’s Mehendi/Tea party which took place on the terrace of Shamsu’s trendy flat in Bandra West, Just a block from my pad! How convenient! With very stylish Decor, and a sweetest Candy Bar I have seen! Candy (Pun intended)  from Marry Me Weddings and her staff did an awesome job!

Finally the big day! Once again the Four Season’s Hotel in Mumbai. A quick ceremony followed by yet another outfit change for Parvati, and off to the reception.

Luckily Karena and Gautam enlisted the help of Bridal Planner Candice Pereira from Marry Me Weddings. I had met Candice a while back in Mumbai, but did not have an opportunity to work with her until now.  Having just shot a second wedding with Candice here in Mumbai I can say she really knows her stuff! I’ve always been a big supporter of using a bridal planner for your wedding if you can!  Especially if your like many of my couples and planning your wedding in India from Abroad! It really takes so much stress out the big day (or Days!)  Check out their website.

Megha and Darshan’s wedding was four days of non stop event’s, celebrations and rituals. Starting in Delhi with the Mehendi, Sangeet, and Pheras, (Hindu Ceremony), and culminating with a beautiful reception in Kolkata.

I’ve often noticed how much brides LOVE their shoes! in the case of Megha I think it bordered on obsession! LOL!  Sadly the shoes are rarely seen with Indian brides, often hidden under loads of fabric, heavily beaded Lenghas, etc. So I always make sure to get a few “Shoe shots”.

I’m sure many women out there can appreciate Megha’s passion!

Aarti and Tom are both from the UK. So most of the guests including family and friends traveled from abroad.

The setting was Grand! City Palace for the Sangeet, and Jag Mandir Island for the Wedding and Reception.

Both stunning locations to photograph.

A small wedding by India standards! This meant I could really get to know the close family and friends, without too much distraction, and

focus on these close ties, and capturing all the heartfelt emotions, and beautiful customs  that make these small intimate

weddings such a pleasure to photograph and be part of. By the end of the three or four days of events

I feel I have not just photographed another wedding, but made some new friendships as well.

Friends and family came from all over the US and as far away as Hyderabad! I was warmly welcomed on my arrival from the airport to a lovely Hyderbadi lunch!  Great way to start the weekend!

What a beautiful weekend it was! The lush green landscape of the Virginia countryside made for a perfect backdrop for the colorful sarees worn by the women, they all looked so beautiful! Add the wandering cows and beautiful fragrant scent of jasmine flowers in the womens hair all made me feel like I was back in South India! Of course the stunning Bride Deepti and her dashing groom Naren added to the picture perfect surroundings.

It was a long day! But fortunately I had my talented second shooter Yianni with me! She’s been with me for a few years now and I have to give a shout out to her for her constant enthusiasm, and support!  So thank you Yianni!

The wedding took place at the luxurious Cinnamon Lakeside Resort in Colombo.  The weather was HOT! But as I had already been in Sri Lanka for a couple weeks I was used to it! Good thing the wedding took place inside the Hotel.  Shylli and Kuberan both grew up in Sri Lanka, but had relocated to Australia so naturally it made sense to have the wedding in Colombo.

I often feature color images for my Indian weddings, as they do showcase the gorgeous fashions, and Decor! But I have always favored black and white photos to bring out the emotions that are so prevalent at Indian weddings. So I have chosen to showcase the last event, and my favorite part of the wedding the Vidai Ceremony, (which took place on the morning after the big day!) in black and white.

With Stunning decor provided by Remmal from Occasions by Shangri-la. I was really impressed with Remmal’s design talent! And of course having a great wedding planner to pull all the elements of a wedding together is a HUGE advantage I always recommend to my Brides to be. Cyndi from Signature Weddings and Events in Orlando was a true professional, and a pleasure to work with on this wedding.
