As I sit in my hotel room in Dubai, getting ready to start a new wedding season, I look back on the last six months, with amazement. All the beautiful weddings I have been fortunate to capture, in such stunning locations; Jaipur, Kerala, Nepal, and Sri Lanka, and of course all my wonderful couples!
Last fall, just as I was just about to embark on a 6 month trip through India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Dubai, Kinnari and Nancy contacted me about this fabulous double wedding these two sisters were planning in Florida. I knew I just had to be there!
Aneal lives and works in Dubai, his fiancé Christine lives in Toronto, and was in Dubai for a visit. Both of their families are from Guyana and they grew up in Canada, friends from a very young age! Sounds like a typical Canadian Love story! ;>)
After a few hectic months of shooting weddings, six weeks off in beautiful Sri Lanka is exactly what I needed.
From a photographers point of view Sri Lanka is truly an inspiring place to be.
